Stop and Smell the Roses

10/11/23

Hello, thank you for joining me, Elizabeth Rose, your hostess of this Whole Brain Podcast designed to assist you in your daily creations.

Ok here we go, folks. Episode number seven, Stop and Smell the Roses, Segment One; More on “Fear & Faith.” Why? Because I was led to say more about Fear and Faith. And many of you have give me a lot of feedback about Fear and Faith, so we’re going to go into more about Fear and Faith. Before I run thru the list, I just want to say, that some of the benefits of Fear: it can be a good motivator and it can lead us out of danger. There were several acronyms in my community anyway, which there were acronyms of Fear being circulated.

FEAR – False Evidence Appearing Real – F E A R
Fear everything and run.
Here’s the 3rd one. FEAR – Face everything and rise.

That’s the one I like the most cause it does segue well with Faith. Before I list the many fears we may have, we’re gonna have some background music by Martha Reich. Buddha Blue Piano Instrumental. This song, Buddha Blue, I believe, if I remember correctly is about the death of her beloved cat, whose name was Buddha; maybe it was Buddha Blue…I don’t remember.
This is a very sweet song by Martha Reich.

Okay, here’s your list:

  • Fear of Judgment
  • Fear of Opinions of what other’s think of you
  • Fear of Vulnerability
  • Fear of Commitment / Union / Being Smothered
  • Fear of Loss

  • Fear of Making Decisions
  • Fear of Missing Out
  • Fear of Not Knowing / Uncertainty
  • Fear of Being Left Out
  • Fear of Not Being Good Enough
  • Fear of Loosing our Faculties / Fear of Aging / Fear of Dying / Fear of Death
  • Fear of Rejection / Abandonment
  • Fear of Joy/Bliss Fear of Freedoms being taken away
  • Fear of not Being in Control
  • Fear of Letting Go
  • Fear of Trusting Our Destiny / Or trusting the Guidance our Higher Self / Trusting Another or Fear of trusting Oneself
  • Fear of Truth
  • Fear of Leaving Poverty
  • Fear of Abundance
  • Fear of the Other / our perceived enemies
  • Fear of Speed/ Acceleration

And there’s the many phobias that we have as well. List of Fears that were brought to my attention.

I’m gonna end this segment with song by Martha Reich. To remind you, Martha Reich is a multi instrumentalist, Santa Fe based singer songwriter; She has performed around the world. She’s originally from New England and was called to music when she relocated to Santa Fe in 1999 where she has released 5 CD’s. She has received many awards and she is often compared to Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez. To add to this, Martha’s songs posses exquisite poetry. They capture the depth of personal and universal subjects while tapping into something true and real for all that listen deeply with their minds as well as their hear. Her songs are inspired by the contradictions of everyday life and they are anchored by the truth and beauty of nature’s elements.

Here’s the song from her 2018 award winning album, Brave Bird. The song you’re going to hear So Brave, which really seemed to fit into our segment that we’re talking about here on fear…because one does need bravery or courage to exit from Fear. I recommend you that you listen to this song very closely, Here it is:

Lyrics to So Brave

I held my breath like a Christmas tree
Before it’s cut down on that sacred eve
All I wanted was to never be found
So I would never make one single sound

I held my breath like a lullaby
Perched in a branch just a little too high
All I wanted was to sing
I was too afraid of so many things

The birds they’ll take it all away
Every hurt that you’ve ever sustained
Now you’re riding that tidal wave just trying to be so brave

Held my breath like a flickering flame
Underneath the thunderstorms and the rain
All I wanted was to kiss the sky
But I was too afraid that I might die

The birds they’ll take it all away
Everything that made you so afraid
And now you’re riding that tidal wave
Just trying to be so brave

But every breath that I never take and every time I made a little mistake
Oh I was dying just trying to be

I held my breath like a butterfly’s wings
Sewn together by a little string
All I wanted was to fly away
I was too afraid so I stayed

The birds they fly every day
No matter what anyone says
And I’m going to be just like those birds
Just you wait and see

End Part I

Wake Up and Smell the Coffee

10/11/23

Ok folks, here we go, Episode number seven, segment two, Wake up and Smell the Coffee ~ gonna take it up a notch and raise your frequency in this Segment. Not that we didn’t do that in the first, but you know we’re talking about a heavy subject: Fears & Faith. Why are we doing this again? Several of my co-hearts pointed out to me many more fears, that I felt, through my dream life, I would offer up this segment as a prayer. In terms of faith, it seems that much of the direction in which I am being pointed to, that our faith is in the unseen dimensions. It comes in the form of prayer often. Prayers from Love and Trust and Courage, and Letting Go of our Mind. Prayers for Strength. These are samples of individual or energies that one may pray to.

We are going to offer up all of the Fears in a Face Everything and Rise Energy. We’re going to offer them up in a Prayer to all those individuals. For those that have ears to hear.

Here we go:

Dear Ones
Dear Higher Self
Dear Divine Intelligence
Ancestors, Animal Spirits, Power Animals,
God, Great Mystery, Universe
Dear Four Directions, including the Center
Dear Star Systems, Elementals and Planet
Dear Gem, Color, Mineral Spirits
Dear Ascended Masters like Jesus
Dear Goddesses like Sophia and Jean d’Arc
And other Gods and Creators and Creatresses
Dear Saints
Dear Love Vibe
Dear Angels and Archangels

Did you know, this is just a little trivia, 69% or 2/3rds of the American public believes in angels, heaven and the power of prayer. And 79% of Americans believe in God or a Higher Power. That’s quite significant. Pray. Everyday. Pray. You may feel a resonance with some of the Energies that we called forth.

Kahlil Gibran ~ I want to read a quote from his book; because he speaks very lovingly, from this book called The Prophet, which awarded him the American bestselling author place in the early 20’s when his book was published. The Prophet speaks on love, marriage and children, on giving, on eating and drinking, on work, on prayer, on pleasure, on beauty, on religion, on death. So, here’s a little quote from The Prophet on Prayer that I felt was very sweet and I wanted to share it with you.

“Speak to Us of Prayer.”
“You pray in your distress and in your need;
Would that you might pray also in the fullness of your joy and in your days of abundance. For what is prayer but the expansion of yourself into living ether?” And he goes on to say, “I cannot teach you how to pray in words. God listens not to your words, save when He Himself utters them through your lips. And I cannot teach you the prayer of the seas and the forests and the mountains. But you who are born of the mountains and the forests and the seas can find their prayer in your heart, if you but listen in the stillness of the night…” That is an excerpt from Kahlil Gibran’s book The Prophet, and I encourage you to get it.

We’re going to close with a song by Martha Reich. It’s a cover called Calling All Angels originally put together by Jane Sieberry and inspired by an individual who had this to say to her; “ in this troubled world sometimes we need some help from the heavens to make our way.” In this song, there are several Saints that are often spoken of; especially in Jane Sieberry & K.D. Lang’s version of this song, Calling All Angels. I’m going to add some of the Saints in Martha’s version. Santa Maria, Santa Teresa, Santa Anna, Santa Susannah, Santa Cecilia, Santa Copelia, Santa Domenica, Mary Angelica, Frater Achad, Frater Pietro, Julianus, Petronilla, Santa, Santos, Miroslaw, Vladimir.

Here’s the song, Calling All Angels from Martha Reich. And you can see the links below for where you can purchase this music and also places where you can listen to her music. Martha Reich. Enjoy. Time to wake up now!

Lyrics
Martha Reich – Calling All Angels (Jane Siberry Cover)

a man is placed upon the steps, a baby cries
and high above the church bells start to ring
and as the heaviness the body oh the heaviness settles in
somewhere you can hear a mother sing

then it’s one foot then the other as you step out onto the road
how much weight? how much weight?
then it’s how long? and how far?
and how many times before it’s too late?

calling all angels
calling all angels
walk me through this one
don’t leave me alone
calling all angels
calling all angels
we’re cryin’ and we’re hurtin’
and we’re not sure why…

and every day you gaze upon the sunset
with such love and intensity
it’s almost…it’s almost as if
if you could only crack the code
then you’d finally understand what this all means

but if you could…do you think you would
trade in all the pain and suffering?
ah, but then you’d miss
the beauty of the light upon this earth
and the sweetness of the leaving

calling all angels
calling all angels
walk me through this one
don’t leave me alone
callin’ all angels
callin’ all angels
we’re tryin’
we’re hopin’
we’re hurtin’
we’re lovin’
we’re cryin’
we’re callin’
’cause we’re not sure how this goes
